Independence, Pioneers of the Future..

Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening wherever you may be. Summer has finally arrived with some very hot days here and across the country. In America we are about to celebrate Independence Day on the Fourth of July. This has made me think on a much more personal and  individual level.

As many of you may know by now I'm big on quotes and Daily Affirmations for not only inspiration but motivation to stay on the path that at times can be so easy to veer off course without even knowing it. Have you ever noticed that or has it happened to you? You set out to make a new goal for yourself and get really excited about it only to find out days maybe weeks later you somehow didn't stick with it? Was it an all out very abruptly I give up or just little by little we talked ourselves out if it? Did the excitement of a new Challenge, or Goal wear off? Typically it will, it's up to us to keep that fire alive reminding yourself what it will feel like when this Challenge and Goal is over with.

That's the beauty of words, the ones we choose to use each day can either derail us or to empower us to new heights! This quote from Deepak Chopra has resonated with me on an almost daily level, it is..

"When tempted to react in an old manner ask yourself: Are you a Prisoner of the Past or are you a Pioneer of the Future?"
When I read that it had such an  immediate impact on me! Images of being chained to the floor unable to break free, a place that I refuse to be yet knowing this, We are the captor, we are imprisoning ourselves!

Independence day for each and every one of us! I would like to think we can choose to celebrate our own personal victories over challenges no matter what they are! I love to think that we are blazing a new path. On our new frontier that we are Pioneers of the Future!

I am very Grateful for you taking the time to visit our site today to read this post. I do hope that it has helped you in some way as it has me.

Why Vitamins?

We know they are important to our health, but are we getting enough?

And why are they so important anyways? The best way is to look back at

it's origins. Then we'll get to the real good stuff of how to get them everyday

and what functions each one has on the body.

The word Vitamin dates back to a polish scientist in 1912. His name

was Casimir Funk and he was studying the hull of rice believed to be a cure

for a disorder called beriberi. He believed that it belonged to a group

of chemicals called amines. He added the latin word "Vita" meaning life.

So he called the substance a vitamine. An amine necessary for life.

He was not able to separate the anti beriberi substance, it was later shown

to be thiamine. Other studys were shown that not all  vitamines were

amines.

So what does this have to do with me? Everything!

There are so many different systems to the body such as the Digestive, Skeletal,

Nervous, Muscular and even the sub system of the Cardiovascular the Immune

system. All of these systems require a certain amount of Vitamins and minerals

and nutrients to operate at an optimum  level!

I'm a firm believer in the Trifecta. Of  Exercise, Clean Eating and Supplementation.

Doing any one or two of these is very good, doing ALL three can have

extraordinary results! We get our vitamins from the foods we eat but it is almost

entirely impossible to get the daily recommended vitamin and mineral levels

from foods. That's why supplementation with a multivitamin is a great way to

insure you are giving your body what it needs day in and day out.

The American Journal of Medicine has even stated that every American

is malnourished and that everyone would benefit from taking a multivitamin.

Are you already active/exercising? Adding this to your repertoire will speed

up the recovery and growth that we are looking for!

Thanks for stopping by our site today, hope you enjoyed the post, if you

did "like" it, +1 it and share it with your friends!

Forgiving Yourself?

2/16/12

We have always heard about forgiving others, but have you given yourself the same gesture?

This is one of many traits we do to find inner peace and to move forward and it's time to

give yourself the same peace that we give to others. We are going to touch upon two ways

that we can achieve this. These are powerful tools so act upon them as fast as you can!

1. Things you have done. Forgiving yourself for things that you have done in the past.

This IS the past and the only thing that we gain is better judgement which equals experience.

No longer shall we emotionally beat ourselves up over things that we have done to our selves

such as maybe "why didn't I stick to my diet" or " I should have made time for my loved ones!"

Yes we should only eat the things that actually nourish our bodies and not whittle away our

precious time where it can be forging a greater bond for the ones we love, but what's done is

done. We will now see what we can do today in this moment and not hold ourselves back

any longer. Guilt is a very heavy bag of bricks, just watch the amazing things that will happen

when we just decide to just let go!!

2. Things you have not done. Forgiving yourself for the things you have done may be the

hardest to do but is essential to moving forward. Again , "why did I eat those donuts?"

"Why did I give up on my exercise routine?" We all have these and many questions of self

damnation that we ask ourselves daily.  Stop the torture and learn from it! These questions

are an indication that we do not like the outcomes we have been getting and we can change.

Taking massive action each day gives us more strength and resolve. Start today or the first

thing tomorrow morning!!

Take these thoughts and steps and use them to allow yourself  to move forward.

Each day is a gift, a new beginning to build the identity and future that you want. Every morning is a blank

check, how much are you going to write yours out for?

Words to live by... (Advice)

12/7/11

Empty it if it's full,
Fill it, if it is empty.. And scratch if it itches.....
