Morning and Evening Mass Power Questions

Morning & Evening Mass Power Questions

Good Morning, Afternoon or Good Evening
wherever you may be. I do hope this finds you
in good spirits. It has been awhile since we last
talked, so I wanted to pop in and let you know
we haven't gone anywhere. Living out Louder
is still growing and going stronger than ever.

You may have noticed our exercise portion
of Morning Mass has been absent as of late.
With good reason though. There is some of you
that may know we have started the INSANITY
workouts to our program, because of that, the
exercise portion of Morning Mass has been put
on hold for now. Although I am in the process
of putting some meditation/tai chi/yoga routines
together to replace that, which will soon to
come.

Mass hasn't stopped whether it's in the
Morning or the Evening. Mornings still
consist of waking up drinking water and
taking my multi-vitamins and having a
breakfast meal or protein shake. What
is also a staple of Morning Mass is that
I without fail ask  myself three power
questions.

1. What am I most Grateful for?

2. What Good can I do today?

3. Who do I love?

These three questions set myself up
for the day. They center me to begin
the day with calmness, gratitude and
an eager hunger to accomplish what
has to be done for the day.

Additionally when I do lay my head
down for the night, I reflect on the
days events by asking another set of
Evening Mass power questions.

1. What am I most Grateful for today?

2. What was Good about today?
    (what did I learn?)

3. Who do I love?

I cannot tell you how much these
questions have helped me at the
start and ending of my day. They
truly are great bookends. When
you come to realize that thoughts
really do become true for how we
behave physically and spirtually
it only makes perfect sense to set
yourself up in the most positive
position possible.

I challenge you to add these set
of power questions at the start
and ending everyday for at least
seven days!

If you have something similar in
your routines or if you adopt these
power questions into your daily
habits I would love to hear your
thoughts on it.

Cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude!

I want to thank you for stopping
by here today to read this post. I
certinly do appreciate it. I also do
hope that it helps you on your
own journey in some way. After
all we are all in this together.
Remember to keep.....

The Truth, No more White Lies! (You are not alone)

Many people need desperately to receive this message:
"I feel and think as much as you do, Care about many of
the things you care about, although most people do not care
about them. You are not alone."
Taken from Timequake, Kurt Vonnegut's last novel.

How many times have you said to yourself I know I should
eat better, I know I should start exercising? Yet have still not
have taken the first step? How many times have you convinced yourself that now is not the right time? How many of these
White Lies have you told to yourself?

1. I will eat better tomorrow! (yet tomorrow never comes)
2. I have a very slow metabolism.
3. I'm just big boned.
4. I'm to old.
5. I'm not fat! (skinny or heavy, flab is flab)
6. Hiding what's really there while in the mirror.
7. Adding another layer of clothes, hoping no one will notice?
8. I will start exercising tomorrow!
9. I just can't do it!
10. I am what I am, Why bother?

If you have told yourself any of the above, the time has
come to stop lying to yourself. These are white lies that we
tell to ourselves to allow us to get off the hook, so as to not
hold ourselves accountable. Yet you are not the only one
who's in Club Denial. I myself have spent many times in and
out of there. It's a great place to get lost in where no effort is
involved until you realize you truly are lost.

Yet, You are not alone, I have struggled as you have. I
have convinced myself of the same White Lies. Your struggle
is my struggle. We are all connected in one way or another.
Random no more, with intention and desire and with purpose
the Truth will blaze a new path of freedom!

As seekers of truth and erasing the white lies that we tell
ourselves. Here are some new  daily affirmations to introduce
to yourself that has helped me.

1. Energy creates Energy!
2. What I do today will make a better tomorrow!
3. The past does not equal the future!
4. I am not too old, I am just getting better! (thanks JBJ)
5. Face my Fears, Accept my Wars and overcome all doubt!
6. The only right time is Now!
7. I Believe in Me!
8. Through this Struggle, I will get Stronger!
9. Does this have any nutritional value?!
10.  Learn more, Earn more!

I certainly want to Thank You for stopping by our site and
taking the time to read this post. I do hope that it will help you
in some way and to know that you are not alone..
Do you have any affirmations that have helped you? Please
share them in the comments below! We're on Google Plus and
also on Facebook I do hope you stop by there as well. We're in
this together, Remember to keep....

Living out Louder 90 Day Challenge!

Our next 90 Day Challenge is starting Tuesday May 1st. and will end on July 31st. Yes I've done the math and that's giving you two extra days to slack or if your starting late, but if anything use the extra days to post a great finish!

     What is this challenge?
This is a Challenge to ourselves to move away from the junk food, the fast food and the processed garbage. Being self aware of what we are putting into our bodies. This is a Challenge to ourselves to add more exercise to our lives!
Junk, sedentary and wider to Alive, thriving and leaner!

     Turning the Tide...
Sick of the years of neglect that has caught up to you? Wonder how you got this way? Wonder no more and start turning the tide!
We all know we should, we all wish we could, well you can! This is a great opportunity, a launching pad to a more focused and in control you!

     Break the image...
Not liking what you see when you look into the mirror? You CAN change that! Whether you have eaten cleaner or exercised in the past or not, no matter your gender or current age you CAN, Break
the image, you have of yourself!

     How?
Moving away from the fast food, the multiple trips to the local coffee shop or these energy drinks with their high carbs and high sugar content. Specifically to note when consuming high amounts of carbs and Sugar, your glucose levels rise! When this level rises it has no choice but to store these excess amounts as body fat! So look at the labels to make better choices! A high protein low carb eating plan is best. Fish, skinless chicken breast and lean ground turkey are great and the hallmark of eating cleaner. Adding exercise will also trim the waistline, at the very least 3 times a week will help. Cardio and weights is best but the intention here is to elevate the heart rate to introduce more oxygen into the bloodstream to burn body fat!

     Who am I?
I'm not certified in anything! Why listen to me? I am someone who no one ever thought in a million years would get in shape. I am that person who was sick of seeing what they saw in the mirror. Telling myself the white lies that I'm not that bad. I am that someone who decided enough was enough. Who made a commitment to turn the tide, who weighed 230lbs of all blubber down to 171lbs of muscle with a low body fat percentage in my first year. That was 6 years ago. The past year was an off and on walking this path and I have to say it was mostly off due to injury and illness. I've got body fat to lose again and muscle to regain. I'm closing in on my 90 Day Challenge and so far it's a loss of 26lbs. So who am I? I'm not looking to be your coach, I'm looking to be your cheerleader! In fact it would be great to be each others cheerleaders encouraging each other every step of the way!

     May 1st..
Is the start of the next 90 Day Challenge! Are you ready? Together we can make the change we want and it starts May 1st. Check here for more tips and I highly encourage all who has something they want to add or post they can in the comments section here or on the Living out Louder Facebook page and we are also on Google Plus!
Would love to read results as they come! Together we can do anything and remember to keep

Why Vitamins?

We know they are important to our health, but are we getting enough?

And why are they so important anyways? The best way is to look back at

it's origins. Then we'll get to the real good stuff of how to get them everyday

and what functions each one has on the body.

The word Vitamin dates back to a polish scientist in 1912. His name

was Casimir Funk and he was studying the hull of rice believed to be a cure

for a disorder called beriberi. He believed that it belonged to a group

of chemicals called amines. He added the latin word "Vita" meaning life.

So he called the substance a vitamine. An amine necessary for life.

He was not able to separate the anti beriberi substance, it was later shown

to be thiamine. Other studys were shown that not all  vitamines were

amines.

So what does this have to do with me? Everything!

There are so many different systems to the body such as the Digestive, Skeletal,

Nervous, Muscular and even the sub system of the Cardiovascular the Immune

system. All of these systems require a certain amount of Vitamins and minerals

and nutrients to operate at an optimum  level!

I'm a firm believer in the Trifecta. Of  Exercise, Clean Eating and Supplementation.

Doing any one or two of these is very good, doing ALL three can have

extraordinary results! We get our vitamins from the foods we eat but it is almost

entirely impossible to get the daily recommended vitamin and mineral levels

from foods. That's why supplementation with a multivitamin is a great way to

insure you are giving your body what it needs day in and day out.

The American Journal of Medicine has even stated that every American

is malnourished and that everyone would benefit from taking a multivitamin.

Are you already active/exercising? Adding this to your repertoire will speed

up the recovery and growth that we are looking for!

Thanks for stopping by our site today, hope you enjoyed the post, if you

did "like" it, +1 it and share it with your friends!

Dust off your Perseverance?

I was thinking recently after watching a famous show
that was airing its season finale on AMC. Its main theme
is surviving through impossible odds. What it takes to
keep going no matter what. I myself am going through
a very challenging time in my life right now. Just as I
feel that moment coming, where maybe just maybe
that this is just too much to bear, I remind myself of
some examples of people that have carried on through
much tougher odds that I am facing.

I wanted to share a couple of those stories with you here.

I read of Alice Herz Sommer years ago. Today she is 108
years old but also a survivor of the nazi concentration camps.
Her unique insight of the world has made an en-lasting
impression on me. Below is a great interview from one of
my mentors Tony Robbins with Alice.

Another story though not as tragic you may have heard of.
His birth name is Harland Sanders but known by most as
Colonel Sanders.

Harland Sanders held many jobs in his lifetime
which included being a railroad fireman, studied
law by correspondence, practiced in justice of the
peace courts, sold insurance, operated an Ohio
steamboat ferry, sold tires, and operated service
stations.

When he was 40, he began cooking for  hungry
travelers who stopped at his service station in
Corbin, Ky. He didn't have a restaurant then, but
served folks on his own dining table in the living
quarters of his service station.

As more people started coming just for the food
he moved across the street to a motel and restaurant
that seated 142 people. Over the next 9 years he
perfected his recipe of 11 secret herbs and spices
that are still used today. As his fame grew Governor
Lafoon made him a Kentucky Colonel in 1935 in
recognition of his contributions to the states cuisine.

But in the 1950s an new interstate highway was to
bypass his town of Corbin. Seeing an end to his
buisness he auctioned off his operations and after
paying his bills was reduced to living off his $105
social security checks.

This was unacceptable!

He knew he had something of quality to offer people
so he traveled across the country by car to restaurant
to restaurant cooking up his quality fried chicken for
owners and their employees. If the reaction was
favorable he entered into a handshake agreement. A
deal that a payment to him of a nickel for each chicken
the restaurant sold. A mere 12 years later he had more
than 600 franchised outlets in the U.S and Canada. That
year he sold his interest in the company for $2 million
dollars to a group of investors!

And it all began with a 65yr old gentleman who used his
$105 social security check to start a business!

Do you have any stories that help you when times
are really tough? What keeps you going forward?
Share them with the rest of us in the comment section
below. Thanks and take care!

The Emotional Facelift... 5 quick fixes

We all come up against from time to time a bit of an overwhelming feeling, how we handle it though

is what is going to make or break the outcomes that we desire. Our actions or in most cases in-actions

define who we are. Recognize the beginning stages of a rut and get yourself out!

If you feel like your heading into a rut, which is by the way, expecting the same results but without

realizing it, we are missing out some important steps that made us successful in the first place. So we are

going to need the right tools for the right job.  At a moments notice use these five quick fixes for an

emotional facelift!

5. MUSIC!

Music is certainly a state changer, it evokes certain emotions in us when listened to. Most

importantly when we need a boost in our mood, play your most favorite music that gets you

moving, and jumping up and down. If you have lost some of your favorites go out and by them or

in most cases now download it! These are invaluable to you! Sing at the top of your lungs, who

cares if it's off pitch! Doing this sets off a physiological cascade in your body that is sure to turn

things around for the better. Move to the grove and don't look back!

4. TOUCH!

This one is fast and easy and yet very hard for some people to do. Whether it is a handshake

to someone you just met or a giant hug to a loved one to let them know you care. There is nothing

in the world quite like the human touch! It reminds us that we are connected to one another. What's

great about this step is it's domino effect. The people you grace with this small gesture makes them

feel great as well. So get out there and start touching!

3. SMILE!

They say there are over twelve different muscles that involve smiling.  On'e that we never typically use.

Ever notice when even a stranger smiles at you, you can't help but smile back?! Also notice

how good it makes you feel! Positive emotions wash over you from just one small act. Watch as

you do this to someone how they just can't help but smile right back at you. What's really great is your

making the people around you feel great at the same time!

2. EXERCISE!

It doesn't matter what you do or how you do it, but get moving! Raising your heart rate will do you

a world of good. A saying I have to remind myself to get moving is "Energy creates Energy!"

There are so many feel good chemicals that are released when you exercise. It's why they

they call it the "runners high". Countless studies have shown that people who exercise are more

happy and are more focused. Also nothing is better than to listen to your inner voice that tells

you should be moving. Whether its working with weights, cardio or fruit ninja on your XBOX

kinect, it's all the same. It's getting that blood pumping, challenging yourself is what counts!

1. CONFIDENCE!

Confidence in who you are and what your going to do. When faced with a challenge it's having

the courage and confidence in yourself that you can do anything! Anybody can steer the ship in

calm waters, but when the waves start crashing onto your ship grabbing onto the wheel and

remaining focused is the challenge. It's not about finding yourself, it's about creating and defining

yourself everyday. It's a gift that each day brings. Feed your courage and you will starve your fear!

So these are your Five quick fixes for an emotional facelift. Remind yourself that anything can be

overcome. Listen to soundtrack of your life, touch those around you, smile at adversity, get moving

and stand tall!

Moving Forward... (A New Perspective)

11/30/11

Like many of you, we have all come up against challenges or a major change
in our life that may seem impossible to overcome. A " how can I do this "
feeling of hopelessness. But as time goes on, life has proven to us over
and over again, what was once very fearful, we look back and say " What
was I so scared of, that was nothing?!"

When at times, the road traveled gets to be too tough, I remind myself certain
anecdotes and inspirational quotes to keep me on the journey ahead. I'm going to
share with you some those and other quotes gathered from around the web. If you
find yourself in a challenging moment, remember these to help you along your
journey!!

Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death. ~Author Unknown

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear. ~Mark Twain, Pudd'nhead Wilson's Calendar, 1894

Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
—Winston Churchill

Life is not about comfort.  It is about living.
Dr. Howard Liebgold, Freedom from Fear

Playing safe is probably the most unsafe thing in the world. You cannot stand still. You must go forward.
Robert Collier

There are many ways going forward, but only one way of standing still.
Franklin D Roosevelt

All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthen me....
You may not realize it when it happens to you, but a kick in the teeth may be the best
thing in the world for you!
Walt Disney

I may not live the most dramatic life, but in my brain it's war and peace everyday!
Rufus Wainwright

There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
John Lennon

Hope you enjoyed some of these quotes and perhaps you may find them
useful in your everyday life. To move forward and take massive action
every day of your life. Each sunrise brings us a new beginning and a new
chance at moving forward.

Would love to hear your comments and perhaps some of your favorite
quotes..

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Announce teams..Micheal Cole a God or Savior? (Pro Wrestling)

Thank You for stopping by...now on to the article!

This is going to be my State of the Union Address on current Pro Wrestling broadcasters..

These thoughts all started with my dislike of Michael Cole, the current main voice for WWE broadcasting.
Now I know how many of you must feel about his time as a commentator, and I would probably agree with you...okay not probably, I would!

Another thing we could probably agree on with is the golden age of wrestling announce teams. Where we had
the Color commentator and the play by play guy. We had the Color guy (Heel) and the Play by Play guy (babyface) playing not only off of each other but  giving us commentary of the match we are seeing. They would make even the most terrible train wrecks of a match seem as an epic battle worthy of the history books.

Great commentary teams of the past would include McMahon / The Body, Heyman / J.R (which was way too brief) J.R / King (only the very early years) and the best announce team in my opinion was that of Gorrila Monsoon and the best manager Bobby the Brain Heenan. Now please don't get me wrong with not including good ol JR's name as part of the Best All Time announce team.
He IS and will always be the BEST commentator. But as this article states this is about Announce teams!!
He just hasn't found his long time match! Some may argue that would be Jerry the King Lawler and he was doing a great job but as years gone on and maybe a bit too comfortable he veered away from doing the Heel Shtick. Well I don't want everyone being nicey nice to each other I want conflict...tell me about the match going on, sell me WHY this is the greatest match of all time! Not interested in King's colorful description of the hot diva in front of him. I thought all was lost.

Enter the Savior..... Micheal Cole.

His turn as heel has given to new life to the broadcast team. The feud with Lawler was one of the reasons to watch for many months. I was almost sorry when that angle ended, Cole has continued to be the Heel broadcaster if you will, and it hasn't been better since. With the arrival of JR back to doing play by play week after week it seems that the golden age of announce teams are coming back. But gotta say this three man announce team just does not work! Sorry to say and you may disagree it is time for Lawler to pack up and leave the booth. Leave it up to the best in the buisness JR and our new SAVIOR Micheal Cole!
