A Man

Father Michael Landon aka Charles Ingalls

Someone I wanted to honor today is a man that
I always turn to when I need to find my center.
In my quest to find meaning the last few days, I
try to turn to to the touchstones in my life to show
me the way. One of those main people would be
Michael Landon aka Charles Ingalls.

Much like Michael's unhappy childhood which
I identified with through my years of physical
and verbal abuse he was determined through his
sheer will to leave a positive imprint on the world.

He admired Steve Reeves a famous American
bodybuilder and actor made famous for his role
in the Hercules movies to the point where he as
well started working out and growing his hair out.

It was Michael's character that mimicked his own
life and that of Charles Ingalls. Who was not only
the reason I started working out but to form who
I wanted as a father and for someone I wanted to
become. He radiated the sense of home and hearth.
Providing for his family no matter what, speaking
to his children not at them. He also had such a
bulldog perseverance against all of lifes adversity,
natural or man made. Demolishing the doubt.

A Man is a leader who brings all of his loved ones
together and not tear them down. He shows them the
way and is the strength and pillar for all to lean on.
He takes the worst the world throws at him to be
able to lighten the load for those he cares about most.
He knows that matters of the heart are of not just
about who may share his blood line. How he is thought
of and what he leaves behind is imperative.

A Man starves his ego to feed his soul because he
knows that all that matters in this world is his family.

Incision Indecision...

Good Morning, Afternoon or Good
Evening wherever you may be.
Thank you for stopping by our site
today to read our new post. I do
hope it finds you in good spirits.

Choices are all around us. What we
decide upon, good or bad makes us
who we are. Now that's not to say
the past makes up entirely who we
are, but of this thing we always hear
about,this thing called karma.

What we decide.

What we choose to do attracts
back onto us.

I am a firm believer in this.

A robber or moocher will not escape
the choices he has made of
dependancy, guilt and of what lady
luck may give him.

The emotional eater will not escape
the effects of the high empty calories
and high sugared foods that will
wreak havoc on their bodies.

But so the kind heart that shares their
love of the world and the people in it
will not escape that either.

The hard worker who thinks for
themselves and make things happen
because the pursuit of their highest
ideals is their character is also
inescapable.

Choose wisely.

Get off the fence.

Whats for you or against you.

Remove the procrastination

and Incision Indecision.

I want to Thank you again for stopping
by here today. I do hope it helps you
in some way on your own journey.
What are you procrastinating about?
What do you want to decide on once
and for all? Remember to keep.....

The Emotional Facelift... 5 quick fixes

We all come up against from time to time a bit of an overwhelming feeling, how we handle it though

is what is going to make or break the outcomes that we desire. Our actions or in most cases in-actions

define who we are. Recognize the beginning stages of a rut and get yourself out!

If you feel like your heading into a rut, which is by the way, expecting the same results but without

realizing it, we are missing out some important steps that made us successful in the first place. So we are

going to need the right tools for the right job.  At a moments notice use these five quick fixes for an

emotional facelift!

5. MUSIC!

Music is certainly a state changer, it evokes certain emotions in us when listened to. Most

importantly when we need a boost in our mood, play your most favorite music that gets you

moving, and jumping up and down. If you have lost some of your favorites go out and by them or

in most cases now download it! These are invaluable to you! Sing at the top of your lungs, who

cares if it's off pitch! Doing this sets off a physiological cascade in your body that is sure to turn

things around for the better. Move to the grove and don't look back!

4. TOUCH!

This one is fast and easy and yet very hard for some people to do. Whether it is a handshake

to someone you just met or a giant hug to a loved one to let them know you care. There is nothing

in the world quite like the human touch! It reminds us that we are connected to one another. What's

great about this step is it's domino effect. The people you grace with this small gesture makes them

feel great as well. So get out there and start touching!

3. SMILE!

They say there are over twelve different muscles that involve smiling.  On'e that we never typically use.

Ever notice when even a stranger smiles at you, you can't help but smile back?! Also notice

how good it makes you feel! Positive emotions wash over you from just one small act. Watch as

you do this to someone how they just can't help but smile right back at you. What's really great is your

making the people around you feel great at the same time!

2. EXERCISE!

It doesn't matter what you do or how you do it, but get moving! Raising your heart rate will do you

a world of good. A saying I have to remind myself to get moving is "Energy creates Energy!"

There are so many feel good chemicals that are released when you exercise. It's why they

they call it the "runners high". Countless studies have shown that people who exercise are more

happy and are more focused. Also nothing is better than to listen to your inner voice that tells

you should be moving. Whether its working with weights, cardio or fruit ninja on your XBOX

kinect, it's all the same. It's getting that blood pumping, challenging yourself is what counts!

1. CONFIDENCE!

Confidence in who you are and what your going to do. When faced with a challenge it's having

the courage and confidence in yourself that you can do anything! Anybody can steer the ship in

calm waters, but when the waves start crashing onto your ship grabbing onto the wheel and

remaining focused is the challenge. It's not about finding yourself, it's about creating and defining

yourself everyday. It's a gift that each day brings. Feed your courage and you will starve your fear!

So these are your Five quick fixes for an emotional facelift. Remind yourself that anything can be

overcome. Listen to soundtrack of your life, touch those around you, smile at adversity, get moving

and stand tall!
